Quarantine procedures exist to ensure the integrity of the competition. To avoid any suspicion of cheating, we ask that all participants adhere to these procedures. Members of the GA (team leaders, deputies and other adjuncts) must not communicate with contestants, from the time the competition tasks are made known until the end of the following day’s competition. Specifically, quarantine will commence on:

• Sunday 7 July, 6:30pm
• Tuesday 9 July, 4pm

During quarantine periods:

• Contestants must not leave their accommodation building
• Contestants must not access the Internet or any other network
• Contestants can only communicate with the organisers of IOI 2013 and other contestants.

We will ask all contestants to turn in their phones to the organisers during quarantine periods. They will be returned after the end of each competition.
